This is a deeply moving novel of a couple’s life. The unexpected story twists are profoundly significant, but to divulge them would spoil the reader’s experience.

This novel was a paradox - Greer's writing is so poetic and filled with metaphors that I had to really read slow to catch every imagery. However, I wanted to speed read so I could find out more about Pearlie, Holland, and Buzz.

I began reading this book and I felt bad for Pearlie. She seemed sweet but gullible.
